Somedays you’ll face bad news but, we hope, most days you’ll be singing the praises of your organization. Regardless of if you are celebrating or activating your crisis communications plan, don’t be afraid to ask for help. There is tremendous value in having your stakeholders and allies help you share your message with the community. No one wants to come off as too boastful or defensive, fortunately, your supporters don’t have to navigate the same challenges you do as an organization. They can speak from their hearts on social media, through letters to the editor and in casual conversations out in the community. So next time you want to share exciting news, clear up misconceptions or present a different point of view, ask your friends to speak up.
